Francisco Sánchez Segura is the Executive Vice-President Engineering and Member of the Executive Committee at Airbus Defence and Space since 2021. Additionally, he was the Executive Vice-President Operations between June 2022 and January 2023.
Prior to these positions, he served as Senior Vice-President Military Aircraft Engineering and Head of Design Organization in Airbus Defence and Space.
He started at Airbus in 2002, where he developed his professional career by holding numerous management and executive positions linked to Engineering and Programme Management within the Airbus Commercial Aircraft division in Toulouse, Hamburg and Madrid.
Mr. Sánchez Segura joined Airbus Defence and Space division in 2014 as Vice-President Head of Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Innovation, based in Seville, position that he held until 2017 when he served as Vice-President Head of A400M Programme Development. In this role, he was in charge of delivering current and future capabilities for the most modern military transport aircraft.
Mr. Sánchez Segura holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Saint Louis University, MO., USA, and a Master of Science in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University, UK.
